Hi Tara,
Thanks for replying. Someone else told me about your website and I have
checked out the pictures of Teleta. My great grandfather, John WesleyLewis,
also had a sister named Teleta Lewis, and she married a Sivils. When I
checked the pictures out on your website, the resemblance between Teleta
Sivils Cox and John Lewis was remarkable. The reason that I think hersister
Jane was my great great grandmother, is from information from the 1880
Bradley Co. Census, in which the following people were listed: AncilLewis,
46; Jane, 44; William,20; Mary, 17; Timothy, 13; John,9; Sarah,6;Teleta,4;
and Elijah, 2. The person who did the census look-up also told me about a
marriage between Ancil Lewis and a Mrs.Jane Gibson on 7/13/1865. I assume
she was a widow. Also, in the 1870 McMinn Co.census with this family was
Sallie Sivels, 80. I think that Sallie may have been the former Sarah
Trotter, that married Absolom Sivels. I have no proof of any of this, that
is what I am trying to do. Thanks for any information that you may have.Do
